How to Make Tennis Highlights on iPhone
From a full match to the rallies worth keeping.
Start with a clear match video
A good tennis highlight reel lets the viewer follow the point. Start with stable footage that shows both players and the full court. If you have not filmed yet, use our tennis recording checklist before your next match. Keep the original recording so you can return to a longer rally later.
1. Import your video and browse the rallies
Import a tennis video into AceCut on your iPhone. Automatic rally clips help separate the action from the downtime between points. Browse the clips before deciding what belongs in the final edit; review the start and end of each point so the serve or finishing shot is not cut off.
2. Choose a story for the reel
For a match recap, choose a mix of serves, baseline exchanges and finishes. For practice, keep rallies that show the shot you are working on, even if you lose the point. A single complete rally often works better than several disconnected winners because the viewer can see how the point develops.
3. Trim with the point in mind
Leave enough lead-in to understand the serve or first shot, and enough at the end to see where the ball lands. Remove long pauses and walks between points. When a rally is too long for a short recap, consider sharing it separately instead of removing the context that makes it interesting.
4. Create the edit and choose music
Bring selected rallies together with AceCut’s AI editing. Choose a 30- or 60-second edit and turn music on or off. Use the shorter option for a quick moment and the longer option when the rallies need room to breathe. Check that the finished edit retains the shots you meant to include.
5. Review the ball tracer and export
You can add a ball tracer to make the ball path easier to follow. Watch the full edit once before saving or sharing it to TikTok or Instagram Reels. Check that both players and the ball remain visible in the destination app’s preview, especially if you change the framing.
A quick pre-share checklist
Can a viewer follow the whole point? Is the important shot visible? Does the ending stay on screen long enough? Is the music suitable for where you plan to share? Save the finished video and retain the original footage so you can make a different edit later.
